Cold store expansion
A £4m project to expand frozen food firm Ardo UK’s cold store at Charing in Kent, is underway. The work, which will be undertaken by food and storage construction specialist, Chalcroft, will increase the size of the facility by more than 20%.

Frozen fruit and vegetable specialist Ardo UK is benefiting from energy saving LED lighting installed at its new £4m cold store, which opened in late 2014. After completing a £6.7m cold store and packing hall for Ardo in 2009 over a 44-week period, high-care construction specialist Chalcroft was called upon in late 2013 to partner the Kent-based business on the design and build of a new extension to the facility.
