London Gateway needs a better Dartford Crossing

The Dartford Crossing has been a congestion pinch point for a long time but the upcoming development of the London Gateway port creates yet more pressure for smoothing the way.

If London Gateway is to be a truly world class port the links surrounding it must be first class. If companies operating from the port struggle to serve south of the river in a timely manner, it will greatly reduce the significance of this grand new port development.

For an interesting take on the issue, see this story outlining the views of Youngs Transport Managing director Rob Hollyman.
