Recognition for racking invention
A-SAFE, the company which provides innovative polymer based barriers to the health and safety barrier industry, has been honoured with a prestigious award for its latest RackEye invention.
The company capped a successful showing at IMHX with a Design4Safety accolade in the racking & storage category.
James Clark, secretary-general, British Industrial Truck Association (BITA), who headed up the judging panel with fellow industry experts, praised A-SAFE for its offering – after saying that the product was his own personal favourite.
He said: “A-SAFE has clearly developed a complete round-the-clock revolution in racking incident reduction and the judges were very impressed with the many individual factors that RackEye utilises.
“This entry concentrated on the safety of racking in the work place and the ever present potential for racking collapses.”
RackEye offers real-time, 24-hour rack monitoring in between inspections. The product uses patented sensors that have been developed and rigorously tested to differentiate between everyday bumps and impacts causing damage.
